FOR REIKI SERVICES:

Reiki is a simple, gentle, hands-on energy technique that is used for stress reduction and relaxation; Reiki practitioners do not diagnose conditions nor do they prescribe or perform medical treatment; prescribe substances, nor interfere with the treatment of a licensed medical professional. Reiki does not take the place of medical care.

Reiki is an ancient laying-on-of-palms healing technique that uses the Universal life force energy to balance the subtle energies within our bodies and to heal. Reiki practitioners act as a conduit or channel through which Reiki energy travels. The intended result of receiving Reiki is a balanced physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual being. Reiki tends to feel warm and relaxing. You may feel the hands of the Reiki practitioner become hot or tingly. Some people describe a floating sensation and some see colors or shapes during the session. Some people fall asleep. Some experience emotional release. There is no expected experience: Reiki treatment is unique for each individual who receives it. The most common results of Reiki treatment include:

• Perceived reduction in stress • Increased relaxation • Enhanced sense of balance, centeredness, and calm.

It is recommended that you see a licensed physician or licensed health care professional for any physical or psychological ailment you may have. You understand that Reiki can complement any medical or psychological care you are receiving. You also understand that the body has the ability to heal itself and to do so, complete relaxation is often beneficial. You acknowledge that long term imbalances in the body may require multiple sessions to facilitate the level of relaxation needed by the body to heal itself.

You will state all known medical conditions, as well as any current prescription medications. You agree that, prior to any session, you shall inform your practitioner of any changes in these conditions. You also understand that reiki is an energetic healing methodology, which may involve hand-touch to heal (in-person session). You understand that you will be fully clothed during the session, and experience a series of safe-touch hand positions on and above your body (for an in-person session). Information exchanged during a Reiki session is educational in nature and is intended to help you become more familiar and conscious of your own health status and is to be used at your own discretion.

When you request to receive Reiki treatment. your understand that the practitioner is providing Reiki treatment for you at your request, and is not responsible for the outcome of the Reiki session. You assume all risks and responsibilities for yourself.
